| ___ GTAH partnered with the Permanent Mission of Senegal to the United Nations, the United African Congress and other NGO's under the leadership of Dr. Djibril Diallo, UNDP/UNAIDS, for the launch of FESMAN 2009 in the US. FESMAN 2009 was commissioned by the OAU and was intended to bring together members of the African Diaspora in the United States and from countries all over the world for a mammoth Festival of Black Arts in Dakar , Senegal in December 2009. Senegal , and in particular President Abdoulaye Wade had been charged with the responsibility of organizing this event on behalf of the OAU. GTAH is pleased to have been a contributor to this event. Unfortunately, due to the current financial climate it has been decided to reschedule the Festival to December 2010. | |||
| February 2007 - GTAH with the Mission of Italy to the UN and the UN staff Commitee Sponsor major Concert in GA Hall | |||
GTAH with the cooperation of the United National Environmental Programme and Ambassador Spatafora of the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations presented the famed Italian composer and musician Ennio Morricone in concert at the United Nations General Assembly to welcome incoming Secretary General Ban-Ki-Moon and to highlight the Millennium Development Goals. |

| May 2007 - GTAH was a sponsor of the programme, Women Development and Microcredit taking place in the ECOSOC Chamber and followed by an award ceremony paying tribute to a group of women who share a dedication to stand out in their individual activities; a commitment to their work and a devotion to making the world a better place. | |||
| June 2007 - A joint project between the Youth Symphony for the United Nations and GTAH and in partnership with local organizations such as ACORN and Habitat House, saw YUSN give several performances for audiences in Louisiana and Mississippi . | |||
| August 2007 - GTAH was a sponsor of the 4th Annual Youth Assembly “Tomorrow's Leaders Today” at the United Nations celebrating International Youth Day. GTAH's Gordon Tapper was one of the speakers at this forum. | |||
| GTAH visits Slidel , Louisiana on March 25, 2007 to present a check in the amount of $11,717.70 raised from the “Sounds of New Orleans” concert to the Mayor, Ben Morris and Mr. Don O'Bryan, Chairman of the Rotary Rebuilds Slidell for the rebuilding of the Senior Citizen Center. | |||
| June 2006 - GTAH Supports Disney/ABC Program for Youth | |||
| GTAH volunteers assisted Disney/ABC with the 18th New York Olympics Annual Metro Tournament/ ESAPN at Riverbank State Park in New York City. Now in its 18th year, the Special Olympics bring the rewards of the Olympic experience to people with disabilities. Through progressive outreach and competitive activities, Special Olympics New York continues to grow and recruit increasing numbers of athletes. The athletes came from New York‘s five boroughs: Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. The Fresh Air Fund and ESPN's Play Your Way Camp Day at Anita Bliss Coler in Fishkill, New York, accommodated 250 inner city girls, ages 8 – 13 years at the Camp in upstate New York. GTAH members volunteered to teach and challenge the campers while allowing the kids to use their imagination and competitive skills. World Cup Soccer at Riverbank State Park. New York SCORES held its annual Jamboree. The day's festivities included soccer games, clinics, music, food, arts and crafts and other fun activities. In honor of the World Cup, this year's Jamboree – SCORES Mundial – was a one-day round robin tournament in which each of the schools represented a different country competing in Germany. GTAH volunteers helped make the Jamboree a huge success. | |||
| September 2006 - GTAH and IG International Launch HIV/AIDS Project "Get Tested its in Fashion" at United Nations | |||
| GTAH in partnership with UNAIDS and the NGO Section of DESA invited the newly crowned Miss Universe 2006, Zuleka Rivera, to the United Nations. Miss Rivera announced the launch of an AIDS Awareness Tour supported by IG International, Sanjana Jon and Kripari. “Get-tested-It's In Fashion” was the tagline for the AIDS Awareness Tour that uses fashion, entertainment and celebrity power to raise public awareness on a growing epidemic in third world countries. | |||
